Basic Wedding Reception Event Outline

- Guest Arrival (Background Music)

- Grand Entrance and Introductions

(parents, bridal party, and any others to be introduced)

- Toast (prior to, during, or after dinner - your choice)

- Dinner (buffet vs. sit-down, release tables as needed; soft

music)

- Video Presentations/Special Announcements/Mingle Time

- Cake Cutting

(by preference, can have before dinner, after, or after

dances, etc)

- First Dance followed by other special dances discussed

- Music after last dance (small set)

- Move into dollar dance (if having one, music of choice)

- Bouquet/Garter Toss (music of choice)

- Formalities Complete! Music and dancing and any other

activities you would like until the end of the reception.

This is just a very very basic run through of the order of

formal events at your reception. In no way does it have to

be in this order, as it is your wedding and your reception....
